1 Eyed Monkey is a collection of short stories. The book is basically divided into two main parts. The first half of the book is best described as absurd humor. The stories are bizarre, yet intoxicating. They are akin to a car accident with a twist. You know you shouldn't look but simply can't pull yourself away. Random events occur in everyday life that are amusing and shocking. The two best examples of this section are "Remember the Time" and "I Walk Unadorned." The stories will knock you down with laughter and leave you thinking, "what if?" The second half of the book covers a wide range of subjects. Mainly, the reader will be taken through a tour of philosophy, religion and science fiction, just to name a few.

The best examples of this section are "Mr. Brownstone" and "A Call to the Underground." The former is a tale of revolution in the United States, while the latter is a retelling of a visit to New York City just days after the terrorist attacks of 9-11. Both stories include a great deal of philosophical pondering, and lamenting, in the case of "A Call to the Underground."
